The Oaktree Foundation aims at empowering developing communities around the world to fight again poverty through education in a way that is sustainable. They believe that by empowering young people from the developed world to help young people in the developing world (peer collaboration) they can ultimately eridadicate extreme poverty and change the lives of millions in the process.

I am apart of this team that has decided to make a difference. I am a student mentor- and though my job feels small in the scheme of things, lives are still being changed and empowered. I recommend everyone getting involved with something like this.. It seriously humbles you, and means you are thinking outside of yourself or your community.

I have included the web address on my previous blog, but also here is a video about the new Campaign Oaktree is organising called the schools 4 schools program- where a school can ’sponsor’ a school to be built for those who need it. We have also organised: The Make Poverty History Campaign, Zero Seven, Roadtripp’n, and the One Day campaign)

Please Get involved or donate now: An honestly amazing entirely youth run aid and development agency.

I GOT A NEW JOB!

Very exciting. I am working at Oxfam Broadway as a casual now: I am thrilled with the working environment and I am really appreciating the experience of ‘secondary’ work with producers from the Third World.

I have decided that this blog is going to be based around looking at young people making a difference through their works. So I have added a few sights of interest: Please Check them out.
